It is 1:02 am, and I wrote this about five minutes ago :D
I saw the psychic
she was large
in 80s style dress
prancing around the room
loving the small town feel
a mistress on a mission
to see the future
and give a boost, to us
the iowa day dreamer star gazing thunderstorm loving youth
her thunder roared the loudest
and shook the hills of barstool laughter
as she looked at me and laughed
saying "honey, honey
repeat after me"

as much as i normally get freaked out by the non-use of punctuation, i just realize that i've never realized (tee hee!) if poetry typically has periods and commas and all that other jazz. it doesn't, does it? interesting. does anyone know why that is? (does it relate to flow? or tradition?)
also, because apparently i'm the question queen tonight, did you intend for the "I" in the first line to be the only thing capitalized? because before i figure out if i think there's any significance to that (my brain already hurts from the above punctuation thoughts), i'd like to know.
thirdly, i keep meaning to ask for the full story about this psychic chick. i feel like it was an interesting experience!
yay for poems! two gold stars to you! ** <--- (pretend that those are gold.)
